Care for Every Age
Our team is dedicated to giving quality oral health care to families and treats patients of all ages. We provide complete solutions for your needs and believe in listening, so we can understand your lifestyle and goals. Whether you need a routine checkup and cleaning, a filling, a cosmetic treatment or emergency care, you can count on one office for the whole family.
Children Are Always Welcome
Kids of all ages are welcome. We like hearing parents' stories about their children having a fun experience at our office, and we have gaming consoles for them to play with while they wait. Our aim is for young patients to feel at ease at the dentist.
- First visits: An initial exam is generally recommended by your child's first tooth or first birthday. It is a chance to meet the dentist in a friendly way and review the basics of tooth development and prevention.
- Regular checkups: A checkup about every six months is generally recommended for children, though we will advise what is best for your child.
- Prevention: Dental sealants and fluoride can help protect growing teeth.
- Accidents: Children can have dental accidents. We provide emergency care with walk-ins welcome.
Our parent FAQs answer the questions we hear most, including first visits, brushing and flossing, teething and what to expect at each age.
Dental Care for Parents and Adults
Adults can see the dentist at the same visit or around the same time as their children. We offer preventive care, gum care, restorative treatments, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign for teens and adults. If you grind your teeth, we can discuss night guards as well.
Before Your Visit
- Bring insurance details for each family member, including any child benefit plan information.
- Tell children the visit is a good thing. You can say the dentist will count their teeth. Try not to pass on any worries you have about the dentist.
- Bring a list of medications, allergies and health conditions for each person being seen.
- Let us know about any worries so we can plan for a comfortable visit.
After Your Visit
- Children's mouths may feel numb if they have had a filling. Remind them not to chew or bite their cheek until the numbness has worn off.
- Keep up with brushing twice daily and daily flossing. Help younger children brush.
- Book your next family visits so everyone stays on schedule.
- Call us if you notice swelling, a fever, lasting pain or bleeding that does not stop.
Tips for Making Dental Visits Easier for Kids
- Talk about the visit in a positive, matter-of-fact way.
- Avoid using the dentist as a threat or a punishment.
- Book appointments at a time of day when your child is rested.
- Bring a favourite comfort item if it helps your child feel safe.
- Praise your child afterward, whatever the visit was like.
- Keep up daily brushing and flossing at home so check-ups stay simple.
